When you enter into a Home Equity Agreement with Hestia, Hestia's profit or loss value is related to changes in your home's value from the initial growth value at the time of contract formation. Hestia takes a percentage of your home's future value, which equals the amount of equity you use multiplied by 2.3. For example, if you use 10% of your home's value as cash, Hestia's share will be 23% (10% x 2.3). At contract termination, Hestia applies its share percentage to your home's updated value to calculate the payment amount. To protect families, Hestia limits the annual return to no more than 30% per year, providing predictable, fair payment terms.

What is the estimated payoff limit?

Your HEA's annual payoff limit is expressed as a percentage of investment return and is limited for the duration from the beginning to the end of the contract. This should be less than 30% IRR per year.

Are there prepayment penalties?

No, there are no prepayment penalties in Hestia's HEA. You can sell your home or buy back the contract at any time without additional fees.
